The birds and leaves just pop against a dark blue background but the choice is yours. You can go for a more modern minimalist interpretation using solid fabrics or have a light background.
Created using machine appliqué and hand embroidery this project is going to be suitable for the confident quilter.
It would be possible if a little fiddly to needle turn the appliqué.
